Add way to Embed EveryAction advocacy forms into blogs, webpages GH2924
Being able to embed the action form into a Mtnrs blog or webpage would simplify the number of steps/clicks members would have to take in order to engage on an action.
4 votesIn Review · AdminJeff Bowman (Associate Director of Information Technology, The Mountaineers) respondedWe now have a new staff-only "Raw HTML Page" where we can embed code like that needed for an EveryAction Form. We do not yet have that capability for Blog Posts, but we may not need that if we are clever about how we use the page option on our website and in our communications.

Automate updating profile URL when a member changes their name GH2910
Automatically update profile url when a member changes their name in the system to avoid negatively impacting people (one example of a demographic that could be negatively impacted is trans folks). Right now, if a member updates their name in the system, it updates everything except URL generation automatically. The user then has to personally email someone to manually update it. It would be good if this process was automated to decrease the need for this extra step.
4 votesLow Priority · AdminJeff Bowman (Associate Director of Information Technology, The Mountaineers) respondedThere's not much need for this, because folks rarely change their name or need this. We can do these as needed and on request. If you need this, please send us an email at info@mountaineers.org. We'll do this by adding a new profile and merging it with your existing profile. You'll retain all your history, get the new name and URL, but will have to change your password.

Improve Event Edit Form GH2777/2805/2760
(1) Re-order, update and add fields on the event edit form to make it easier for volunteers to complete.
(2) Add validation that at least one "room" was selected for the Tacoma Program Center.
(3) Set the Event Setup and Departure datetimes to default to the Start datetime - 30 min and End datetime + 30 min when adding an activity to the Seattle and Tacoma Program Center calendars. For editing an event, "remember" the time difference between Setup and Start datetime AND between End and Departure datetime and use those as defaults for editing the Start and/or End datetime.4 votesCompleted Feb 2019

Add Feedback Links to Committee Roster GH2939
On the committee roster add a column without a header and with links called "Feedback" that are visible to admins only for each leader (so there will be two links--Edit and Feedback). Clicking on the "Feedback" link opens the leader's My Feedback page details in a dialog box (aka pop-up). This should help committee administrators to more quickly review their committee's feedback leader-by-leader.

As a member of the activity leaders group allow me to clone an activity so that I can more easily create the series of activities I need.
Fields that can be different in clones:
- Start Date
- End Date
- Registration Opens: Default to 9 am on Start date + 1 day
- Registration Closes: Default is noon on the Thursday preceding the Start date
- Leader
- Member and Non-member Prices (NOT cancellation fee) if either of those fees is >0 on the activity being cloned.Notes:
- This is similar to what we do for lodge stays…4 votesCompleted Sep 2019.

STOP Allowing Registration to Occur Before Registration Begins
Field Trips are full before registration date. Wtf? This makes registration dates pointless!!! As a new Scrambling student I’m patiently waiting for field registration to begin only to realize they are full prior to registration. Members are fine getting leader’s permission but should have to wait till the registration is open to register not before.

Separate Site Search Results for Images SD644
In the site search, place all search results except images in one "tab" and images in another.
We also have a lot of folders, especially ones titled, "Images" and "Resources," so we may want to have "tab" for folders too or rank them low in search results.
This will help rank more important items higher in the search (e.g. a person's profile page above their profile image).
4 votesWe now hide images from search results, because we don;t have enough information about images on our website to do an adequate search.

Branch Council Roster Positions GH2746
Please create positions specific to branch rosters:
Branch Chair
Branch Vice-chair
Branch Co-chair
Branch Secretary
Branch Treasurer
Branch Officer
MemberNote: "Member" is for branches whose committee chairs regularly attend branch council meetings but don't have a branch officer role (so its important we keep this) Thanks!

Notes/Questions
- I saw “Content Manager” used, so I added that to the list.
- Since “Members” are described as Committee Chairs, should we add “Committee Chair” to the list? Would that be better/more correct? If so, do we keep “Member”?
- Each committee has a new field called, “Committee Type” with three choices: Committee (the default), Branch, and Board of Directors (for the Board of Directors “committee” only).
- For each of the branches, you’ll need to first edit the committee and choose “Branch” for the “Committee Type” field and then edit the rosters to choose the correct “branch” position for each person. -
Practice Sessions
In order to accommodate activities that are not trips and not instructional in nature, we would like to create a category called "practice sessions" that function exactly like clinics. Currently, these would be used to house pool practice sessions (currently listed as clinics) and open climb nights (currently listed as events and therefore we aren't requiring online waivers or QYL for youth to come). We (Sara, Becca, Tess) think that this could potentially require very little development and have a positive impact across the organization. I'm happy to chat more about it!

Enable trip leaders to Identify Potential Leaders on a Trip
Currently, trip participants can rate trip leaders. Trip leaders need to be able to rate trip participants. Specifically, trip leaders need to be able to identify trip participants who demonstrate attributes of a future trip leader, and this information needs to be shared with branch committee leadership so they can follow-up with the potential trip leader and encourage them to take the appropriate next steps to volunteer as a trip leader.
When trip leaders close their trip or prepare a trip report, this new feature needs to be made clearly available to them so they are given an opportunity to…

Allow Leaders to Choose Activity Template or Route/Place Image for Activities SD641
When scheduling an activity, allow the leader to choose to use one of the the route/place images, the activity template image, or an image from their local computer.
Notes:
Currently when scheduling a trip (standalone) activity, the one form the route/place is the default and the leader may choose to replace that with one from their computer. For course activities, the default image is from the activity template, and the leader may choose to replace that with one from their computer.
Many of our Routes & Places have an "Images" folder where we store images submitted by our members and…

Family Activities Exception GH2280
In family activities only, recognize when an adult attached to a youth membership has registered and override the Youth Information Form requirement for youth attached to the registered adult’s membership when they register. They would still need to be required to fill out the Family activities program form because otherwise we’d have no waiver on file for the youth.
Considerations:
What do we do if the parent or parents cancel? This is a family activity which should be parent-child combos, so this does not seem like but…?
From Becca - Is there an option to have the system cancel a…4 votesThis is complete. To make it work, for an activity that is for families, remember to check the “Family activity?” box and choose “Families” in the Activity Audience field.

Avy terrain rating GH2743
Add an avy terrain category rating to each route/place based on the highest risk area. Eg our Nordic Touring books list avalanche danger as "none, low, moderate, etc" The idea is that any route/place that has an NWAC link also has an avy rating so students can make informed decisions. (came from both snowshoe and scramble summits)
