Better sort for event calendar contents view GH1837/1955
When working on Events in Contents view, the oldest events (two years ago, as of now) sort to the top of the list. That means repeatedly paging to the end of the list to get to the Events of interest. Since, every time the page is refreshed, it starts over at the top of the list, the paging effort must be repeated over-and-over and is very time consuming.
Please change the list to sort in descending date order. Or better yet: present and future dates in ascending order followed by past dates in descending order.
Also, the event date is more relevant information, so it would be nice to see that in contents view and sort on that instead of on the date modified.
As asides, I observed that the column headers do not align properly over the columns. Clicking on a column header does resort the list, but it does alternate between ascending and descending as one would expect.
The column headers in the “folder contents” view are now spaced correctly and you can sort (as you always have) by clicking on a column header for the forward sort. Click a second time for the reverse sort.

The may/jun changes are nice, but they are cosmetic and "asides" to the real suggestion. I'm afraid you will do that part and call it done.
The real problem pertains to Events in contents view. They are initially displayed in a strange and useless order with most, but not all, recent events clustered at the end. Clicking on the Date modified column sorts them the oldest first, which requires lots of paging to work on the recent events. Making matters worse, every time the page is redisplayed (let's say, after editing an event) it reverts to the strange and useless order. I'm asking for a sort with most current events first, preferably by event date rather than modified date.

Event calendar also needs a delete function in the Action menu.
