Improve Committee-aggregated Feedback Pages GH2954/2955
(1) Add a "More Info" or make it so that clicking on the "comment" in feedback takes the user to the "All" feedback page for the activity, course, event, or lodge stay from which that feedback originated.
(2) Add a "Download All | Download Selected" button to the bottom of the page that downloads a spreadsheet file with one sheet/tab for each feedback survey (e.g. Course Feedback, Field Trip, Lecture, Seminar, and Clinic Feedback, Trip Feedback, etc.). Each sheet will have meta data (e.g. title, dates) from the activity, course, event or lodge stay and then the feedback responses in…

When an activity is pushed to a future date make sure feedback emails also update to the future date GH2281
Right now if a climb is scheduled for May 1 and you have to move it to May 8 because of weather the feedback email is still sent out on May 2, the day after the original start date.

Submitting feedback should be a two step process GH2757/2758/3608
When submitting feedback for an event there should be a two-step process - after entering the information and clicking a button - but before submitting for good - a "view" page should show how the feedback will eventually appear, warn the user that once submitted the feedback can't be changed, and allow the user to go back and edit some more. This is pretty standard for feedback and survey forms.

Activity Feedback Chart Color Scheme
Feedback Color Coding. The colors used for a Great Trip (RED) to Terrible Trip (Green) seem backwards to me, and should be in reverse order to the way they are now. Red usually means there's something wrong and green usually means everything's great Go.

Add Feedback Links to Committee Roster GH2939
On the committee roster add a column without a header and with links called "Feedback" that are visible to admins only for each leader (so there will be two links--Edit and Feedback). Clicking on the "Feedback" link opens the leader's My Feedback page details in a dialog box (aka pop-up). This should help committee administrators to more quickly review their committee's feedback leader-by-leader.

Consolidate Responses on Website Feedback Forms SD672
We updated the responses to some of the "questions" on our feedback survey forms. The aggregated data shows both the old and the new/edited response. To make the data clearer, we should consolidate the old and new response so that are counted as being the same.

Provide a way to tell if leader has unread feedback
Currently, there is no indication if a participant has submitted feedback after a leader has viewed the feedback. Personally, I check for feedback a few days after the activity, and if someone adds feedback after that I probably won’t ever see it.

Limit use of low contrast fonts
I have a big, but I think important ask. My vision is not crisp, in fact worse than that. In order to read text, I require fairly high contrast. When light grey font is used, it is a blur, even when enlarged, to me and others with less than acute, young eyes. The Mountaineers Templates use quite a lot of light grey font and it is not editable. When doing web design for the Mountaineers, could you please consider making it a point to use black font on light backgrounds or white on dark backgrounds so that we all can…

Aggregate Lecture and Field Trip Feedback under Course
Courses are usually made of separate lecture and field trip activities to which students can provide feedback. To review all the feedback for the course , a person has to open all the activities. It would be nice to aggregate all of this feedback under the course and maybe course temple with which they are associated.

Make Event, Activity and Course feedback fields function the same way GH2762/3035/3493
All of our courses, events and activities have feedback forms but if you have a specific form you'd like to send to your participants we can make a change on the backend in salesforce. Unfortunately when we do this the field shows up differently on Events, Activities and Courses. We'd like it to be the same and clarify whether no feedback is collected or whether its being collected via salesforce/other (usually a link to survey gizmo).

We added a “Skip sending feedback requests?” to Activities, Courses, Events, and Lodge Stays in Salesforce, the platform used to send these requests, so that staff may suppress sending the email request for feedback. Participants may still complete the feedback survey associate with the activity, course, event, or lodge stay if desired. A request for a survey from another platform like Alchemer (formerly SurveyGizmo) may be sent to participants.
We also added an “Is this a meeting?” checkbox to the event edit form on the website. Anyone you may add or edit an event can check this box. If this box is checked, the email request for feedback will not be sent, but participant may leave feedback from the event page or their My Activities page.

Provide Activity Feedback from participants/students to Asst. & Co- Leaders
After an activity participants are asked to provide feedback. This feedback loop is an important component of leadership development and allows leaders to learn how their approach is being received. However, Asst and Co-Leaders do not have access to this information and miss out on a valuable learning opportunity. For some, especially less experienced Asst Leaders, they may be tempted to emulate behavior they saw from a leader without the knowledge of how that was received by participants. In addition there may be comments, good or bad, about the Asst/Co- Leaders. Seems like not automatically sharing this with the entire…

Response to feedback in an email
We still are constantly fighting to create a culture to provide more feedback, near misses, and such. If the feedback survey is short and also can be directly responded via email - we may see some more reports.
Also, "please share why you choose above rating" questions don't return much responses and suggest combining it with "is there anything else that you'd like to add" or "do you have any additional comments about the learning environment" question with a change to the text to reflect the same.1 vote -
Simple and Effective Feedback Surveys & Incident Reports
(1) Keep it simple and quick to attract more feedback.
(2) For instance, we could have multi-choice or single-choice questions on page 1 (change it to cover a bigger picture than we do already) and have a conditional page if people wish to add more comments/improvements if they wish to.
(3) Separate the near-miss report and incident report. They serve different purposed and requires attention and follow-up on a different scale. These are my thoughts; hope we can achieve to bring more feedback from participants by making it easy and quick. And also, by creating open culture to encourage near…

Hi KD,
Thanks for the suggestions. We completely agree with “keeping things simple.”
Although your suggestion for our feedback page may be conceptually simpler, it is quite complicated to implement and we have several other needs for our feedback system, http://feedback.mountaineers.org/forums/273688-general-feedback?category_id=358780. Feel free to review and vote or comment on any of these.
Separating near miss reporting from full incident reports is a good idea that our Safety Committee needs to evaluate. We recommend merging it with Create More Robust Safety Committee Data Analysis, http://feedback.mountaineers.org/forums/273688-general-feedback/suggestions/7002958-create-more-robust-safety-committee-data-analysis. Please let us know if that is ok with you and we’ll do that. It can also be a separate idea. If you prefer, please feel free to add a new idea for this.

Feedback Load Speed Issues for Committee Admins GH3610
When the committee admins use the "View Committee Feedback” button, but when they click it, it is often slow to respond or returns a timeout error.

The biggest issue here was the amount of feedback to aggregate. We defaulted to “Lifetime” which is all the data. Here is what we fixed and how we recommend using committee/leader feedback:
- Set the default to the “Last 12 Months” filter so it loads albeit a little slowly.
- Moved the "Lifetime" filter to the bottom. Be sure to only use it in combination with either a leader filter or a course template filter. Those are typically small enough data sets to not cause a timeout.
- Replaced the date filter widgets with the more modern version, and one that actually works.
It’s lot of work to improve the load time for “Lifetime” and we need to upgrade the forms we use for feedback, so we’ll tackle this later with the upgrade.
