Reset faceted searches when date boxes are emptied GH1435
If both Start Date and End Date boxes in the "Starting..." section of the faceted searches (Find Activities, Find Course and Find Instructor Opportunities) are emptied, reset/resubmit the search.
It can be removed by clicking the date filter at the top of the search, but we also want the date filter to be removed if the date boxes are emptied.

Properly Group and Sort Replies to Comments GH1392
We're currently sorting trip reports and blog comments in reverse chronological order. This part is okay. But replies to a trip report or blog comment seem to appear "above" the post to which they apply. Ideally we want to place them "below" the post to which they reply and better differentiate replies from the original post.
1 voteComments and replies are properly grouped and sorted in chronological order now.

Mileage and Elevation Gain modifications GH1474
Although Leaders can change the mileage and elevation of a trip they took instead of using the default route/place data, they currently have to do this by editing the "activity." It would be one-step easier if this was possible on the same page as when you "close out" the activity. Can we duplicate that data input there as well as in the activity template?
1 voteYou may now update the mileage and elevation gain when closing an activity in addition to the trip results, participant results and volunteer hours. We also improved the instructions on the roster page, so it shoudl be much clearer how to close an activity.

The doors are closed to most of us.
Publish lists of truly open events where organizers are not micromanaging who can attend. The list will be incredibly short. Others have commented on this and per usual someone with 'official authority' to do so deleted their thoughts and suggestions. This is absurd, rude, and asinine. The arrogance demonstrated is remarkable. The issue stands. There are painfully few outings available (particularly for Basic Climbing Grads) to participate in. This does not feel like a club at all, but a set of tight cliques that are energetically guarded.
3 votesHi Douglas,
You are not alone in your frustration about the limited number of climbs for basic grads. In fact I’d encourage you to read this thread and comment on it which discusses this same issue so you can better understand the climb leader’s perspective as well
I am closing this feedback item because we are trying to make sure their aren’t duplicates of the same item. The issue you brought up is incredibly important and was actually discussed recently by the managing committee.
The Managing Committee met on April 30, 2015 and decided to take no action on the issue right now. Central issues that contribute to these frustrations that they identified were a shortage of leaders and the various legitimate needs for pre-filling a roster that should not be disrupted. However, they decided that working on increasing the leader base and monitoring frustrations related to this issue…

Still Logged In as a Zope User GH1096
A few folks have received a "Still Logged is as Zope User" message when logging out of the website. Please let us know if you are one of them. Thanks!
Here is info that would be helpful to us if you experience this issue:
What device are you using (brand, model, etc.)
- What browser and operating system you are using.
- Was there anything odd about when you logged in?
- From where did you log in (e.g. following a link in an email or bookmark/favorite that required log in or navigation directly to mountaineers.org.)?
- What page were you on when you…
1 voteWe understand what causes this issue and it is only an issue with site admins. It has not been reported by anyone in several months.

Allow Members on Waitlist to sign up for Additional Outings
The system currently does not allow members to sign up for more than one outing. If you are on a waitlist, particularly if you are third or more on that list, I think the system should allow you to also sign up for another trip as backup. It seems unfair to force members to give up a potential spot on their preferred trip only to confirm on less preferred trip simply because of the system. Thank you.

Bookstore Hours
I love the bookstore, but wish it was open on Saturdays so that those of us with day jobs could use it more often!
1 voteMost of our members are out playing on the weekends and we are not in a great retail location so Saturdays historically has not been a good fit. Please do review our extended hours on the bookstore page, mountaineers.org/bookstore. Thanks!

Change Color for links that those with higher permissions can see
Can the colors on "hidden" menu options be changed? The red text on blue background is almost impossible to read.
0 votesOn calendar views, we have white text on colored backgrounds with the background color denoting the state.

When viewing someones profile make the "My Activities etc" show up differently than one's personal profile GH901
When browsing another members page, many of the headers appear as if I'm viewing my own page (My Activities, My Profile, My Courses). It's a bit confusing at first whether those will continue navigating another users page, or will take me to my own.
1 voteWhen viewing someone else’s profile we now have changes to help make it clearer whose profile you are looking at. When you are looking at someone else’s profile it no longer says My Activities or My Courses it simply says Courses and Activities and the person’s name is inserted above so it is clear that it isn’t your profile you are looking through.

Move Question Mark
The question mark at the bottom of the web page is right on top of the down arrow on the scroll bar, so its really easy to accidentally click on it, which is very annoying. Can we move the location of the question mark a little so that it doesn't cover the scroll bar? (from Ralph Wessels)
1 voteWe’ve reviewed and discussed and unfortunately, we cannot find a better place for the question mark to live, and no one else has reported this as an issue.
Please do email us at info@mountaineers.org if there’s anything you need.
Thanks again for bring this to our attention!

Make Mountaineers e-newsletters come from different email than activity emails
It's helpful for me to be able to sort through activity related emails separately than e-newsletters. Maybe make these come through as activities@mountaineers.org versus info@mountaineers.org
1 voteWe discussed and determined that our current infrastructure is best with just one address for our email newsletters, confirmations and notifications.

FREE INSTRUCTOR DESK COPIES GH1247
When a volunteer instructor sets up a course, offer them a free text PDF of any Mountaineers Books (MB) title. Also offer them the option of specifying a non-MB text for their course that MB will purchase and fulfill. The instructor would communicate the later text via an email (linked).
0 votesThere are instructions on the course template and course edit forms how to request “desk copies” of our books.

Develop functionality for Activity Programs and Outings/Combos SD154/GH1639
This is functionality would be much like what we have for courses and would be for activity programs like Explorers and Venturing Crew, activity outings like Yosemite Climbing and "combo" activities like Hike & Stewardship and Cathedral Rock & Mount Daniel. We need to be able to group a few activities (and maybe a couple lodge stays) under one "umbrella" Outing and use a "manage registration" style feature to register for them and the Outing as a whole like we do for courses.
