Change "downgrade" language
I suggest changing your language on membership "downgrades". Rather than say "downgrade", which has negative connotations, why not say "You have chosen to change your membership type". Using the word downgrade makes it sound like the membership type has fewer benefits or less value than another type.

This is a great idea and should be a relatively easy change, forwarding along to our marketing manager to update language.
