Fade the badge image (but keep on profile) when a badge expires
Instead of removing the badge image from someone's profile when their badge expires, it would be nice to fade the image ... this would show that the badge is no longer current, but it would also provide a better snapshot "history" of that person's past participation.
This idea is closing as it did not reach enough votes/engagement over the past few years to be prioritized. To learn more about the updated feedback status options and process, visit this blog: https://www.mountaineers.org/blog/new-technology-experience-manager-feedback-management-improvements

In looking at a few profiles, badges live in tidy little sections. Very nice. Lumping expired badges into a "history" section would remove them from their categories and into a jumble would often be the largest category.
I think I'd rather see an overlay of expired badge images that subdues them and maybe even says, "expired 2013".

Or maybe a "badge history" section? Still fade the badge images?Add a small graphic/button with the word, "Expired" across the badge?

Per discussions with Olympia "Uber" Leader Bob Keranen and others, it is important to keep people's first aid skills "fresh" via refresher courses every few years. However, dropping the badge from their profile takes away a visible record of what they've done historically with The Mountaineers, which is valuable for a variety of reasons that come up from time to time (such as recruiting, seeking advice, or recognizing someone for their engagement with us).
