Functionality for youth in family memberships who age out GH2747/2773
When a youth who is a Mountaineers member turns 18, they should receive a "happy birthday" email (with the primary account holder copied) saying:
"Happy birthday! We're so grateful that you and your family have given The Mountaineers a chance to play a role in your formative years. We hope you feel like you're part of the family. We know that your late teens and early 20's are busy years. We hope you can still stay involved, but even if life takes you on new adventures, we want you to know that we still consider you part of our family, and we hope you'll stay connected.
That's why, for your 18th birthday, we've given you a 1-year adult membership! And, we'd also like to give you a one-time offer to extend that membership for another 4 years, to help take you through those busy early 20's. Log in anytime between now and when your 1-year free adult membership expires to purchase another one-year adult membership, and use this coupon code to extend it for another 4 years. You'll end up with a 5-year membership for the price of one. A little birthday gift from us, and our way of saying "thanks for being part of our family."

In plone when the person ages out they will be removed from the family style membership and given an adult membership with the same expiration as the family membership they were just on. The 4 year membership offer will be implemented when we get a purchase notification from SF about the use of the promo code.

kristina obviously should edit that communication. Process-wise, we want to pilot with kids who are currently 18 & 19 (and edit the email a little). Many of these kids know us well and will put up with it if its a little clunky, so we can iron out the kinks. The next step will be to do a bulk change for "kids" 20-22 and just give them a 2-year membership, and kids over 22, turn them into adult members and have them expire whenever their family membership would expire. From there, we'll need to come up with a system to either automate it when someoen turns 18, or to have member services run a report monthly for clean-up. Also, Tess mentioned you can set up notifications so that with a coupon code, member services can get notified and manually extend the membership 4 years.
