Lodge-specific Sign-in Sheets (aka Print Rosters) SD648/649/650
For a two-night stay, what we have may be enough, but for longer stays a matrix-style sign-in sheet might be better. Or it may be better if we have a different printable sign-in sheet for each lodge.

This is the overall project description: As a lodge administrator, allow me to print or download a “sign-in sheet” specific to my lodge, so that I have the info I need to manage lodge stays and the activities that go with them.
It is composed of these two parts:
(1) As a lodge admin, allow me to download data from lodge stays and activities for my lodge given a date range, so that I have the info I need to manage lodge stays and the activities that go with them.
(2) As a lodge admin, allow me to set up the columns that appear on the printable sign in sheet for my lodge along with grouping and sorting options, so that I can configure sign-in sheets that best serve the needs of our lodge’s hosts and guests. -

I think arranging names by last name is a good idea. I don't know about your second suggestion. I have a hard time visualizing that.

Rather than have a column on the sign-in sheet for dietary restrictions maybe we should get that information off the initial download sheet. Or we put it on the sign-in sheet but don't print that column when you print the sign-in sheet.
What you see is what you print, so if it’s there, it’s printed. We could remove it and get it from the on-screen (you can print the on-screen roster too—it will just be a bit messy, because it's a web page you’re printing as opposed to a sign-in sheet which is optimized for printing) or downloaded roster. It may be good for it to be on the sign-in sheet in case anyone forgot to add it when they registered (or were registered by someone else).

The names appear to be alphabetical by first name which I guess is OK but it means members of a family with the same last name won't appear together. I personally would like to see the names arranged alphabetically by last name. The column for the names is pretty narrow which means names take up two lines. When we have 60 signed up that means that each day's roster will be about four pages long.
Maybe it is best grouped first by role, then by primary guest and then sorted by first name (families are now together so last name no longer matters). We’ll have to look for other columns that could be made more narrow so the names are wider. At the end of the season, we can look at some examples and find the best formatting.
Note that if we want to sort by last name, we need to request first name and last name during the lodge reservation process. We only as for name now.
