MailTo button on Rosters and other web email improvements GH1123
The email button on the roster page is pretty much useless because of the crippled form based email that is built in. Add another button with a MailTo link behind it that feeds the default email client with the list of selected email address in the header.
That's basically the same functionality we had under IMIS--it was robust, immensely useful, and the necessary programming is trivial.
We added a MailTo box that allows copy-and-paste of email addresses to a personal email client and up to threes attachment for web-sent email.

The email button on the roster page does not work well because it uses a bad email system. Make another button that opens your email program with the email addresses of the people you choose. That’s how it used to work before–it was strong, very helpful, and easy to make. https://www.dogneedsbest.com/

Just in case this is not covered in the suggestion & staff reply, would be immeasurably helpful for email messages to have a "From" line that says something other than "The Mountaineers" (so email recipients can tell who is sending the message), and a "To" line (so recipients can cross-communicate with each other, such as for carpooling). Currently, without this, the Mountaineers email tool is only useful for sending out a bulletin; not much else; it basically has late-1980s functionality. If I need to send a functional email to Trip participants for example, I have to use my personal email and copy/paste each recipient's email in the "To" line.

As designed, "Mountaineer Mail" has many shortcomings; texting on my cell phone has more capability. To be useful here are some things that need to be added:
--Basic formatting like bold, underline, indents, etc.
--Pasting images
--Add a dialog for attaching both internal and external documents
--Add a dialog for including links to internal documents and pages
