Remember me on login
I frequently need to login to the mountaineers website, sometimes multiple times per day which is a bit annoying. It would be great to have a remember me checkbox to persist the login.

It would be great if an explanation could be given on why this isn't possible, or options for how some login persisting could be supported.

I was able to meet with the developers and can provide more context! I will not close this idea right away so that you have a chance to reply/comment back. The reason that this feature no longer works is because cookies on browsers changed and the plone-native (what our website runs on) feature for this no longer worked. There are other ways we could potentially re-introduce something like this but we did not pursue these due to the additional security concerns they would introduce. All members logged in have access to their personal PII and potentially saved credit card information (through 3P link service). Leaders have access to other member's PII data for those who have joined their trips. Alternative solutions could cause issues if someone were to log in on public devices that would keep that user logged in and pose a risk. For this reason, as well as the development costs to build a new solution, we have chose not to pursue a replacement for the removed feature.
