Alerts & Notifications for Events
Create a notification alert option for events, similar to alerts for courses or activities.

At present there is no low-friction method for finding Events. Please add "Events" to the notification options. I have hosted events to raise awareness & recruit participants to my Global Adventures trips. This required additional posting on FB pages, writing blogs, etc. I am a volunteer and feel that my volunteer time should not be spent doing what an automated notifications could accomplish. My time is better spent leading Mountaineers activities which give me joy. Writing blogs and FB posts do not bring me joy. Because committee & business meetings are also posted as "Events" it seems there might need to be a new category for these ... I do not want to know about committee/business meetings.
