I know that instructor pre-req's are inherited from the course template, meaning changing them after the course is sheduled effectively does work. Do not the course pre-req's work the same.
In any case, I do support this request and would like to see it's scope expanded so that all characteristics of the template are propagated to the course (rather than inherited) so that they can be maintained independent from the template.
Currently, if one template is the parent of two courses, those characteristics that are inherited from the template cannot be changed without effecting both courses. So, for example, if we have certain pre-req's for the March course and want to change them starting for the April course, we cannot do it without effecting the March course.
