Create "add to calendar" link in registration confirmation email
A link for iCal or google calendar so that when registrants get a confirmation email they can immediately put it on their personal calendar. Primarily thinking about events, but would be great for trips too!

Something like this would be so great.
I think Tom's approach is best, since then you can not only view your Mountaineers calendar discretely from any other calendars you may have, but also for ease of integration. Not having to actively manage your calendar in addition to your registration status makes sense. Really hope to see this!

I would prefer to have a calendar of my mountaineer activities that I can subscribe to. I subscribe to the calendar and then all mountaineer events appear in my calendar. Changes automatically appear.
“Add to calendar” usually requires me to download the event file, open it to add to my calendar, and then deleted it.

Hello! I wanted to provide a bit more information on what would be required in order to achieve this. For events, the answer is a easier than for activities as we already generate iCal files for events. For us to email out that iCal file, we would need to store the iCal URL in Salesforce and then use that value in Salesforce when we send out confirmation emails. For activities, we do not generate iCal files. The main reason is because we do not store start/end times for activities outside of the large body of text for "Meeting Place & Time". First, we would need to consider adding those start/end times for activities. Then we would need to generate the iCal files. From there we could follow the same steps I listed for events above.

I love this idea, and I've been meaning to suggest it for a long time. Thank you, McKenzie for getting the ball rolling. I spend a lot of time "cutting and pasting" activities into my google calendar, and this would save a lot of time.
