Magnuson South Wall Climbing Reservations
This page has confused me a few times. The Seattle Park Department does not manage reservations. It would be nice to have updated information about the south wall here.
Open public use?
Any reservation system?
Bolted?
Check for exclusive reservations, where?

Thanks!

Hey Chris,
You'll want to check out the following page for an overview of the climbing areas and what's accessible to the public versus the organization.
Specific to your questions about the South Plaza.
Yes, it's open to public use assuming another group doesn't have it reserved. It's use at your own risk, owned by Magnuson Park but maintained by The Mountaineers.
The wall is setup with bolts and anchors suited for lead climbing and top-roping. Please note, the south plaza wall is not designed for placing gear. Do not trad climb. If you'd like to boulder, please use the bouldering rock or stay below the designated height restrictions.
Plaza climbing reservations can be made through either
Magnuson Park Events (magnusonevents@seattle.gov) or
via The Mountaineers at (garretta@mountaineers.org). When a reservation is made through Magnuson Park, they let us know and we post it on the calendar listed below. I'd say 99% of reservation requests come through directly to me.All reservations for the Seattle Program Center are listed on the following calendar page
