it would be wonderful to easily order maps online
order USGS/Green Trails maps online
1 voteWe are now the sole distributor for Green Trails maps and sell them on our website: https://www.mountaineers.org/books/books#b_start=0&c11=Green+Trails+Maps.
We do sell other map titles. All maps can be found at https://www.mountaineers.org/books/books#b_start=0&c5=Map.
USGS map sales have declined to near zero in recent years, so there is little need to sell the on our website.

Add Header Messaging Capability SD517
We added a home page pop-up a while ago for getting important communications out to members and guests.
This would be rich text that appear in a box/stripe that appears just below the header (and above the admin panel if it is visible) so that we can present members and guests with a less obtrusive way to highlight things that we thing are really important. Also allow members and guests to close this message until it is refreshed (changed entirely or edited).

Larger profile pictures
Our community is stronger when we connect with one another and when other members can learn more about you. So while we’re at it, how about allowing larger views of members’ profile photos? I was delighted when the member profile feature was added to the web site, enabling me to see who I’m going on a trip with; but what’s with the microscopic space allotted to the profile photo? I have a 34-inch monitor, yet members’ photos show up in a tiny 2-inch circle and I have to peer closely at the screen to make out any facial features. The…

"Post a new idea..." confusion
I found the "Post a new idea..." link on this page (on the right, under "General Feedback") to be confusing. I expect a link to take me to a new page, but actually it was a no-op. I would suggest just eliminate that link.
1 voteThis is an issue with UserVoice that we have pointed out ti them. If you need help adding a feedback idea or need support, please contact us at info@mountaineers.org or 206-521-6000.

Include full names in email address lists
When I get the list of email addresses for my activity, I would prefer to have the list include everyone's full name. For example, instead of
person@gmail.com, person2@hotmail.com
I would prefer to see
"first last" person@gmail.com, "first2 last2" person2@hotmail.com
Then I would have human-friendly names in my emails.1 vote -
Reply to doesn't work on all email from mountaineers.org
Replying to emails written from leaders through mountaineers.org are not working for Windows 10 mail. Obviously Mountaineers can't control Windows but it might make sense to switch to participants being cc'd on organizing or the leader being cc'd so members don't send Member Services trip logistical emails.
1 voteThanks for providing feedback. Unfortunately we can’t fix Windows 10 mail but it does work for other mail programs. We also have an option for leaders to capture roster emails and easily copy and paste them into their email in the cc’ field if a leader does have Windows 10 or wants to help facilitate carpooling.

Online outdoor resume
I think that breaking down the various skills our courses teach is important and reiterate my support for "skill badges" that is already an idea in this system. However, I see benefit in creating a template that is populated with the skills a member has earned that takes the form of an outdoor resume people could download and modify. This could promote our efforts to make the burgeoning multi-billion-dollar outdoor industry accessible to the youth we serve (as well as help our members who are sick and tired of their current jobs and would love to make a career transition).…

Printable Membership Card GH1834
We’ve had some feedback lately (well, always) from certain members who always want a membership card. Sending them individually is time consuming and expensive. How feasible would it be to design a page (something VERY simple) where people could print out their own membership cards?

Add the Ability to Filter Activity Listing by Sponsoring Committee
Currently the activity listing can only be filtered by activity type and branch, but not by the sponsoring committee. In most cases this isn't a problem because the committee is the same as the activity type, but there are a few "community" committees, Retired Rovers, 20-30s Somethings, Singles. With the current system trips sponsored by these committees are basically impossible to find. The audience filters would work great for this, except that any trip can pick any of them, so most trips pick more than one.
Can we either have:
1) A way to filter the activity results by the…1 vote -
Problem with "cancellation pending"
Cancellation pending can be a problem for leaders when they are trying to cancel people off and add people from the waitlist right before the course. The people in "cancellation pending" count towards the number of registered students, which means that their spots can't be offered to anyone else until Member Services reviews their status and issues the refund, etc. Member Services then changes the status to "cancelled" which then frees up that spot for someone else. But the problem is that this lag in between "cancelled" and "cancellation pending" can sometimes take days and prevents leaders from being able…
1 voteI am sorry to hear you’ve experienced a lag time on cancellations. Unfortunately we need the cancellation pending status to process refunds. Member Services does cancellations every business day so if you are seeing a lag time of more than one business day on a course roster that is time sensitive please email info@mountaineers.org or give us a ring at 206-521-6001 so we can update immediately. Additionally if the course is shortly approaching you are welcome to email those on the waitlist to let them know they are in, send them course materials and alert them they will be offered a spot shortly.
In addition to our daily cancellation pending notifications we also recently implemented a weekly cancellation pending report to help ensure that these are processed in a timely manner.

Make ALL Text in theLeft Navigation Column White GH1691
The red (private), yellow (pending) and purple (shard with committee) are difficult to read on a light blue background and are distracting. Make all the text in the left navigation column white, no matter its state.
Not: We'll keep the colors in the folder contents view.

Tailor receipt (thank you) page messages to items purchased SD344
Add six rich text fields to the Thank You page for each of these item types: membership, course, activity, book, merchandise, donation. Each field would be displayed if the shopping cart contains and item of its type.

Import Very Old Activity History SD407
We imported all history from 2003 onward, because the format of our former database fit the model of our new database fairly well. We do have history from the early 1990's to 2003 that was imported from our first database to our former database. However, it is just a list (titles and dates) on people's records with no link to an activity record. It will take some effort to import and display this info.

Install Step-Up Engagemant App SD416
StepUp is Percolator Consulting's engagement app for Salesforce, our CRM (Customer Relationship Management database).
It adds functionality to our Salesforce to create the ability to measure the engagement levels of our guests, members, and volunteers. This Percolator-designed Salesforce App allows you to assign an engagement score related to actions taken with our organization, and then roll all of those scores up into one master "engagement score". We can use this to identify potential donors, volunteers, and to single out guests who might be the most interested in converting to a member.

We installed and configured the StepUp app for Salesforce in Apr 2019.

"My Activities" should be visible on the landing page after the login
I'm internet savvy but didn't discover "My Activities" and other menu items that are currently hidden behind the login name, until recently.
Make the site intuitive like http://www.Meetup.com. It shouldn't require training.1 voteThanks for the suggestion. The “My Activities” is in the profile menu in the upper right section of our website’s header per website best practices. Unfortunately, there’s just not room to expand all of the items in the profile menu to the header. The My Profile menu will have a bit more prominence in our mobile design, so when you’re using a smart phone or tablet the My Profile menu will be a bit easier to find.

Properly Group and Sort Replies to Comments GH1392
We're currently sorting trip reports and blog comments in reverse chronological order. This part is okay. But replies to a trip report or blog comment seem to appear "above" the post to which they apply. Ideally we want to place them "below" the post to which they reply and better differentiate replies from the original post.
1 voteComments and replies are properly grouped and sorted in chronological order now.

When viewing someones profile make the "My Activities etc" show up differently than one's personal profile GH901
When browsing another members page, many of the headers appear as if I'm viewing my own page (My Activities, My Profile, My Courses). It's a bit confusing at first whether those will continue navigating another users page, or will take me to my own.
1 voteWhen viewing someone else’s profile we now have changes to help make it clearer whose profile you are looking at. When you are looking at someone else’s profile it no longer says My Activities or My Courses it simply says Courses and Activities and the person’s name is inserted above so it is clear that it isn’t your profile you are looking through.

Move Question Mark
The question mark at the bottom of the web page is right on top of the down arrow on the scroll bar, so its really easy to accidentally click on it, which is very annoying. Can we move the location of the question mark a little so that it doesn't cover the scroll bar? (from Ralph Wessels)
1 voteWe’ve reviewed and discussed and unfortunately, we cannot find a better place for the question mark to live, and no one else has reported this as an issue.
Please do email us at info@mountaineers.org if there’s anything you need.
Thanks again for bring this to our attention!

Make Mountaineers e-newsletters come from different email than activity emails
It's helpful for me to be able to sort through activity related emails separately than e-newsletters. Maybe make these come through as activities@mountaineers.org versus info@mountaineers.org
1 voteWe discussed and determined that our current infrastructure is best with just one address for our email newsletters, confirmations and notifications.
