Add activity templates to accomodate seasonal variations for climbing
When we transition to skill badges as pre-requisites for trips I'd like to be able to modify the default pre-req badges on the activity I list depending on the season. For example if I lead a trip to the tooth in June I want it to have all of the regular basic alpine skills like snow travel, belay etc but in August I want to be able to remove the snow travel skill pre-requisite or have a template that brings up a different set of requirements.

Show Events in a Course's "Course Requirements" Tab GH2827
We often have graduation celebrations at the end of a course. These are just events to which the committee, leaders, instructors, students, graduates and former graduates are invited to attend. It would be great if they could be RSVP-style events that appear in the course's "Course Requirements" tab. That would save having to "double list" by listing an activity that is really not needed an would also need to be closed.
Implementation Note: Add a field to the Event add/edit form to choose one or more Course Templates to list the event on courses within that template and where the…

Note major jewish, christian and muslim holidays on online calendar to promote inclusivity and avoid double booking
It'd be great if the online reservation calendar noted major holidays like rosh hashanah, yom kippur, Eid Al-Fitr, easter etc so that volunteers are less likely to schedule activities on courses on those evenings. This would go a long way towards building an inclusive culture at The Mountaineers.

Search and filter hikes by vertical gain, mileage, and distance using range sliders
Search and filter hikes by vertical gain, mileage, and distance using range sliders, similar to WTA's interface.
...and allow for further filtering of results by geo using map zoom functionality, similar to that of Zillow NOTE: We already have map view, see the comments.

Leader Permission Links
Posting on behalf of a Mountaineer Leader.
The location of the "Request Leader's Permission" link is very confusing because it looks as if permission is required to be a leader of the trip rather than a participant.
What's more confusing is that the screenshot is from this trip to Lila Lakehttps://www.mountaineers.org/explore/activities/backpack-lila-lake-1, which is not set up to have any any assistant leaders, so one wonders why "leader prerequisites" are shown at all. I thought I might be seeing a different screen because I am a backpack leader, but the screen looks the same when viewed in incognito mode…

Highlight # of activities led / courses instructed in volunteer leader/instructor profiles
"Game-ify" volunteer leader & instructor trips led & courses taught to encourage them to list more trips and volunteer more often as instructors.
Update volunteer profiles so that a “star appears” around their profile picture for each trip they lead or for each time they participate as an instructor / leader in a field trip. When X number of stars have appeared then volunteers receive some sort of recognition, to be determined, . . . for example, . . .
a. X stars – a Mountaineers Books coupon or a Starbucks card accompanied by a form thank you note (and…1 voteThis idea is closing as it did not reach enough votes/engagement over the past few years to be prioritized. Give notification to leader if posting course related activity outside course date range
Provide error message/notification if creating a course related activity that is outside of any course's current date range. I listed an optional lecture and it wouldn't show up in the course but I couldn't figure out why. Turns out it was after the original course listings end date.

Table of badge dates
On the "My Activities" page there's a "Review Participation Notes" blue button. When I click on that and scroll all the way to the bottom it shows when my badges were added and when they expire. This table of dates is super handy, but having it located here is really klunky.
It seems like all this badge date info should be at the bottom of the "My Profile" page. It would also be nice to list along with the Expire date if it has expired but it's still in the grace period.
I know you already added a date tooltips…

Integrate Salesforce with Acumatica
The current process involves manual assignment of revenue codes for memberships, courses, etc., a time-consuming task that is subject to inconsistent interpretation and error. Integration would automate this process, reducing time spent entering data and improve the accuracy of our data. We'd also like to sync (or be able use an export-import process) to transfer data from SF to Acumatica.

Prevent Recursion & Cycles in Bundled Lodge Stays
[Kevin] A bundled night has a "qualifying purchase" and an "add-on".
You should not be able to chain bundled nights together. This is pretty easy to fix: If a relationship exists, show it on both. The relationship should only be editable from the add-on item, and should be displayed in a read-only manner on the qualifying purchaser.Friday 1/6 (editable) -> Saturday1/7 (read-only)
Saturday1/7 -> Friday 1/14 <--- not allowed, b/c Saturday 1/7 has a relationship already
Friday 1/14 -> Friday 1/6 <---- not allowed, b/c Friday 1/6 has a relationship already[Jeff} There are probably two parts to this:

Improve Collection Portlet for Main Content Area Below the Title GH2263
Improve the display of a collection portlet that can be display in the main content area of a page just below the title, image and summary. The portlet would continue to be configuration as it is but the display would span the entire page if there is only one (50/50 if there are two and 33/33/33 if there are three. Currently it spans only 33% of the width in all cases.
This would allow our outdoor centers and other committees to elevate their blog content if they wish See attached a example.

Disconnect the <Enter> key from Submit on the Routes & Placed Edit Form
Disconnect the <Enter> key from the "Submit" button on the Routes & Places edit form. It is a big form with lots of things to be filled in and lots of causes for pressing <Enter> before one is ready. On the other hand, one is still able to edit afterwards so accidental submission was not a big problem.

Provide easy way to email participants based on their role
For large course field trips it is common for instructors and students to show up at different times, which means that instructors will usually carpool with other instructors, and students with other students. To set up those carpools it would be helpful if the "Email Participants" screen had a way to quickly select participants based on their role, i.e. all instructors, all students, all leaders. Yes, it's currently possible to use the per-person check boxes to this now, but some large field trips (Navigation, Snowshoe, Scramble) can have as many as 90 participants, so selecting them individually is tedious and…

Larger profile pictures
Our community is stronger when we connect with one another and when other members can learn more about you. So while we’re at it, how about allowing larger views of members’ profile photos? I was delighted when the member profile feature was added to the web site, enabling me to see who I’m going on a trip with; but what’s with the microscopic space allotted to the profile photo? I have a 34-inch monitor, yet members’ photos show up in a tiny 2-inch circle and I have to peer closely at the screen to make out any facial features. The…

"Post a new idea..." confusion
I found the "Post a new idea..." link on this page (on the right, under "General Feedback") to be confusing. I expect a link to take me to a new page, but actually it was a no-op. I would suggest just eliminate that link.
1 voteAs stated previously, this is an issue with UserVoice that we have pointed out to them, but there is not anything that our team can do so marking this closed.

Include full names in email address lists
When I get the list of email addresses for my activity, I would prefer to have the list include everyone's full name. For example, instead of
person@gmail.com, person2@hotmail.com
I would prefer to see
"first last" person@gmail.com, "first2 last2" person2@hotmail.com
Then I would have human-friendly names in my emails.1 voteThis idea is closing as it did not reach enough votes/engagement over the past few years to be prioritized. Map of phone numbers to call for back country rescue
How about posting a map showing which number should be called in case an emergency rescue is needed in any given area in the Washington Cascades (or Olympics)? Maybe it already exists, but I couldn't find it. Ideally, the map would clearly delineate the boundaries between rescue jurisdictions.
1 voteAs Jeff mentioned in the comments below, calling 911 is the very first thing that should be done in an emergency situation. Read more about our Emergency Contact Procedures here: https://www.mountaineers.org/about/safety/emergency-contact-procedures/view.
Although there are some general jurisdictions for SAR teams they do work with eachother and the Navy, different county Sheriff’s office etc to see what resources are available most quickly. Most of the time the most useful information is to know whether you are in a National Park or if you aren’t in a National Park which county you are in along with the trailhead where you entered. Washington Department of Transportation has some good maps online to help identify which county you are in before heading out. http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/mapsdata/products/digitalmapsdata.htm
The next step after 911 is calling the Mountaineers specific emergency line 206-521-6030 and the folks on that line will additionally help triage the situation.

Auto-populate branch council rosters with all chairs of branch activity committees
There are some times when a branch council roster isn't updated after a new chair comes on to an activity committee. If this wasn't a difficult or expensive feature, it would alleviate one bit of data entry for branch council's AND help prevent other committees from missing communications from the councils.

Online outdoor resume
I think that breaking down the various skills our courses teach is important and reiterate my support for "skill badges" that is already an idea in this system. However, I see benefit in creating a template that is populated with the skills a member has earned that takes the form of an outdoor resume people could download and modify. This could promote our efforts to make the burgeoning multi-billion-dollar outdoor industry accessible to the youth we serve (as well as help our members who are sick and tired of their current jobs and would love to make a career transition).…
