We completed and launched many of the desired youth programs features in Jan, Feb and Mar 2016.
In May & Aug-Sep 2016, we added the youth forms feature.

Add Staff UI for Procesing Refunds SD289
Now that we have a My Purchases on the website, we need to be able to properly record refund transactions in all of our systems. This will also reduce the time needed and improve the accuracy of by our Members Service Team to process refunds.
- Staff need the ability to issue refund (full and partial) when canceling a person from an activity or course.
- Staff eed to be able to cancel a person'smembership and refind a specified amoutn of annual dues that have been paid.

Add age parameters for youth only activities GH 1253
To prevent adults from registering themselves or the incorrect family member allow course leaders to indicate age parameters as pre-requisites for courses, course related activities and activities.

Add text in manage registration window regarding activities that have closed GH1256
If you get off a waitlist for a field trip and want to remove yourself from one that is already closed it is not clear how to do that from the manage registration window for course related activities.
Please add a tag line to the red text that exists already saying registration has closed to make it say.

Enhance promo code limits GH1111
As discussed, can you please talk to David about adding a “max use” requirement for our Promo Code. Right now you can add a maximum use per person, but not per code. Meaning you can only use a code once, but then you could give me the code and I could use it (also only once).
Ideally we’d like to create a requirement for promo codes so they can only be used once (in the case of gift membership) which means we don’t’ ever need to go back in and add an expiration date, as it will expire once it…

Make it possible to have members and non members RSVP to events like lecture series and Gear Grab. You should be able to register more than just one and put in your guest's names.

Ability to see 'what trips i have done with this person'
It would be great if I could look up a person, and see the trips i've done with them in the past, along with their badges. So many times, we end up playing the 'i've been out with you somewhere. were you on my Norse Peak trip? no? may be on Snoqualmie last year then?' :)

Publicly accessible API
As a member of the Mountaineers, I'd love to give back in a way that I have particular expertise.
It would be great of the website had a public facing REST API for exposing data such as events and classes.
At least in a read capacity. My particular goal would be to write an Android (and possibly iOS) app to browse the events and what not.
It would be great to have easy native access to my up coming events, and be able to launch navigation to the event right from the app.

18 votesWe receive a lot of offers from IT folks offering to help, particularly folks with development experience. While we appreciate it, our website is not terribly complicated but is incredibly specific to our organization. To effectively play in that space, someone needs to be both a master of our technology stack AND have a detailed and nuanced understanding of the interplay between volunteer needs, user behaviors, and how the backend systems sync and impact each other.
For that reason, we have chosen to hire staff to run our IT needs even though we have volunteers who could do it, just as we have chosen to hire a CEO even though we have volunteers with executive leadership experience.
We also discussed the idea of giving a technology committee access to our GitHub and developers to support development, or find another way to get volunteers involved “since their time is free”. And…

Set up automated autorenewal email and reminder about lapsed membership
Not currently automated, would be time saver to have more of these automated to ensure member renewal.

Create a member dashboard that allows us to more easily track membership by type, branch, member interests etc.

Create a UI for staff to process membership dues
Staff have a 21-step manual process for processing dues paid by check currently. We need a better user-interface and process for this system since a large portion of dues still come via snail mail.

Add a filter for Cancelled Activities on My Activities page GH1325
Can we please get a sort or filter button on this page so that we don't have to view the canceled events?
8 votesBased on the original request and comments, we added “Show Canceled” checkbox, “Show waitlisted” checkbox and a date range filter. We did the same for the My Courses & Programs page. Go check it out!!
