Auto Save functionality needed for filling out online forms like Routes/places
Can we create an auto-save for some of the online forms so users can save their work on route-place and activity creation forms and come back to it later if they haven't filled all the required fields?
All required fields expect for the title and summary have default values so leaders only have to fill in a couple fields before saving.
Pro ti! If you save your route/place and you navigate away from the page you can find what you created by searching using the magnify glass search field in the top right hand corner
We added defaults for ALL required fields. So to start a new route/place, enter a title and summary (both can be edited later) and then save it. Then come back later to add to it or edit it and do this as many time as needed. Once it is complete, change the state to "Submit for publication" so that staff can review and publish it.
Does this adequately resolve this issue?

The Route-Place form is particularly clunky to use because it is so inflexible. For example, you have to fill in all the fields above the map before you can even enter and search on a location or coordinates for the map. Often when you have to go back and correct an error in one field some of the other info just disappears (particularly the attached image). Would be great to make this form friendlier.
