We now have this fixed. Please let us know if you have any issues with the “Keep me logged in” feature.

Remember that when you use this it will last for 30 days for each device/browser combination so long as you do not log out.

  3. Setting the default role for RSVP's to an event as "volunteers" when appropriate GH2022

Some committees put their meetings on the calendars and people who RSVP are clearly committee volunteers, not "participants." If we could identify which types of events to do this with, it would more accurately capture our volunteer's efforts to default to the role of "volunteer" rather than "participant" when people RSVP to these types of events.

  4. Waitlisted people can take themselves off a trip any time GH2131

I see why people signed up for a trip need to contact the leader to take themselves off a trip after signups for the trip has closed. However, I DON'T SEE why that applies for people who are merely waitlisted.
What is the possible logic for this?? Especially since being waitlisted means you can't sign up for anything else at the same time. You need to contact the leader and then the leader, who may be away from email, needs to take them off. Especially since the closure period for some trips is way in advance of the trip.

Participants may now cancel from an activity if they are on the wailist and registration is closes.

  5. Add the Registration Date/Time to the Course Registration Edit Form GH1965

Add the Registration Date/Time to the course registration modal dialog and only show it to site admins so that we can have more flexibility in making waitlist and other roster adjustments to course like we do for activities.

    Example: https://www.mountaineers.org/about/branches-committees/tacoma-branch/committees/tacoma-hiking-backpacking-committee/course-templates/introduction-to-backpacking-tacoma/introduction-to-backpacking-tacoma-2016-1/team-roster

  6. Internal Link Dialog Fixes GH1949/1950

    1. Allow course listed to be selected as internal links by clicking through the bread crumbs or search.

    2. Fix the dialog so that when the breadcrumbs wrap to a second line, that they do not overlap the list of selections.

  7. Set up a Search for Badges to Make Them Easier to Find GH1881

  8. Create a "Do Not Send Automatic Confirmation Email" checkbox to activities or activity templates GH2002

In some cases like summer camp field trips and/or required lectures for courses, its confusing or annoying to members to receive confirmation emails. We would like to be able to turn off this functionality in certain cases like this.

  9. Member Roles for Committee Pages

When editing the committee roster, it would be nice if we could select/enter roles of different members so that when we check the box to display that member on the committee page, others can see those roles.

For example, if my name shows up on the Photography Committee page, it just says "leader". It would be nice if it could say "activity coordinator and publicity" under my name. That way, visitors to the page would know to contact me for questions about those things. Limiting titles to Chair, Treasurer, Leader, etc. doesn't really tell people how we're involved.

    Hello All -

I wanted to provide an update on this idea and mark it as completed for now. Initially, we were hoping to change the committee position field into a more flexible field. However, there are roles on that page that are linked to certain website functions/permissions so that is not an option. In the future, we can look to add another field in the roster that could hold custom titles. Meanwhile, we have expanded the list of committee positions. We are open to adding more as long as they are relevant across multiple activities/branches. If you have another one you would like to add, please reach out to me directly!

    Below is the updated list:

    • Basic Chair
    • Chair
    • Content Manager
    • Courses
    • Equivalency
    • Immediate Past Chair
    • Intermediate Chair
    • Leadership
    • Member
    • Outreach Coordinator
    • Safety Chair
    • Secretary
    • Treasurer
    • Vice Chair

A few other things I wanted to add/clarify:

    • You can make…
  10. Add More White Space Between Events on Calendar View GH1992

Add a bit more white space between events on the calendar view so that they do not appear mushed together as they do in some cases.

Here's an example for August 2016 on https://www.mountaineers.org/about/locations-reservations/seattle-program-center/events

  11. Add GPS Coordinates to the Ballon Labels on Maps GH1968

On maps, add the GPS coordinates to the "bubble" that is displayed when a user clicks on a map's balloon (e.g. 46.8719090087, -121.51538770799999).

  12. Reply to doesn't work on all email from mountaineers.org

Replying to emails written from leaders through mountaineers.org are not working for Windows 10 mail. Obviously Mountaineers can't control Windows but it might make sense to switch to participants being cc'd on organizing or the leader being cc'd so members don't send Member Services trip logistical emails.

Thanks for providing feedback. Unfortunately we can’t fix Windows 10 mail but it does work for other mail programs. We also have an option for leaders to capture roster emails and easily copy and paste them into their email in the cc’ field if a leader does have Windows 10 or wants to help facilitate carpooling.

  13. Tracking Committee Positions over time for a list of all former chairs, for example.

As people move in and out of their positions on a committee, it would be useful to have the ability to pull a report out of Salesforce that tells me who has served in that role over time (such as all Branch Chairs and the dates they served). Low priority but would help identify former expertise for mentoring opportunities and recognition.

  15. Default Survey type based on activity template GH1953

Can we get some sort of toggle on an activity template for courses that would allow changing the default survey type:

“Default survey for activities within this course:”

This way Conditioning Hiking Series trips could all be trip surveys by default rather than field trips surveys and having to edit each individual activity.

Conditioning Hiking Series templates like CHS 1 and CHS 2 and any other course related activity template now have the ability to choose which survey is the default survey that is sent to participants. Note that although a default can be set you can also edit each activity to choose which survey makes the most sense. This is mostly an issue when a course has activities that are more like a regular stand alone trip than a field trip.

  16. Add a "My Branch" Link GH1868

Add a My Branch link next to My Activities and My Courses and Programs on the short click menu when you click on your name when you are logged in to see branch events and blogs and stay up to date on all branch activities.

Members and guests can now access their branch page from the My Branch link in their profile menu in the upper right side of the header of every page on our website. Now everyone the same quick access to their branch info as they do to their profile, activities and courses.

Please be sure that content on your branch pages, including blog posts and events, are up-to-date, because we anticipate this will drive higher traffic to your pages.

  20. Profile - improved clarity to user re what shows as public or private? GH1974

Might there be a better interface re our profiles that would make crystal clear to the user what information is kept private and what is viewable to Mountaineer members (public)?

**Update: Also would be good for leaders to be able to discern which members want their info private versus shared with our members. This means looking at how rosters show up for courses, activities and events for both participants and leaders.
