  1. Install Step-Up Engagemant App SD416

StepUp is Percolator Consulting's engagement app for Salesforce, our CRM (Customer Relationship Management database).

It adds functionality to our Salesforce to create the ability to measure the engagement levels of our guests, members, and volunteers. This Percolator-designed Salesforce App allows you to assign an engagement score related to actions taken with our organization, and then roll all of those scores up into one master "engagement score". We can use this to identify potential donors, volunteers, and to single out guests who might be the most interested in converting to a member.

  2. Replace Book References and Retire Old Editions SD373

As a site administrator, I need to be able to replace references to an old edition of a book with a new edition in content items like Activities, Activity Templates, Courses, Course Templates, and Routes & Places.

Allows customers who purchased an earlier edition to see info about that while ensuring that from now on, everyone purcahses the new edition of the book, because it is showh in the shop and on all details pages with "recommended reading."

  3. Add Recommended Reading to Blog Posts SD388

As a blogger I'd like to be able to add "Recommended Reading" (aka books from the shop) to my blog post so that my readers can easily purchase those books. Great for how-tos, author blogs and book release posts.

  4. Add Title Choices to Routes & Places for Use with Activities GH1476

To make it easier to better title activities where the route place has broadly varying options and alternatives, provide a list of alternate location names that may be used.

Specifically, when scheduling an activity allow the leader to choose an alternate title from an "Alternate Route/Place Title" list that is populated from a route/place "Route/Place Titles for Activity Titles" list.

    Here's an example:

For a scramble of "Silver, Tinkham & Abiel Peaks," https://www.mountaineers.org/explore/routes-places/silver-tinkham-abiel-peaks, the activity title currently is and by default after implementing this idea would be:

Alpine Scramble - Silver, Tinkham & Abiel Peaks

    Alternate activity titles with…

We now have the ability to have alternate titles for routes/places that have a couple different destinations but all use the same access and thus we wouldn’t want two different Mountaineers groups there on the same day.

An example is Snow & Gem Lakes. This trip can now simply be titled Gem Lake or Snow & Gem Lakes. Or if you are only climbing Tinkham and Silver Peaks you can now pick just those two peaks even though the listing has Silver, Abiel & Tinkham Peaks.

The ability to switch to an alternate title is in the Route/Place tab when you are in the activity edit form while scheduling or editing an activity. It’s the same place you’d edit the date or choose a new route/place for the activity.

Please note that this alternate title is not supposed to replace the summary. For example the title is not Gem Lake…

  5. Reset faceted searches when date boxes are emptied GH1435

If both Start Date and End Date boxes in the "Starting..." section of the faceted searches (Find Activities, Find Course and Find Instructor Opportunities) are emptied, reset/resubmit the search.

It can be removed by clicking the date filter at the top of the search, but we also want the date filter to be removed if the date boxes are emptied.

  7. Properly Group and Sort Replies to Comments GH1392

We're currently sorting trip reports and blog comments in reverse chronological order. This part is okay. But replies to a trip report or blog comment seem to appear "above" the post to which they apply. Ideally we want to place them "below" the post to which they reply and better differentiate replies from the original post.

Comments and replies are properly grouped and sorted in chronological order now.

  8. Mileage and Elevation Gain modifications GH1474

Although Leaders can change the mileage and elevation of a trip they took instead of using the default route/place data, they currently have to do this by editing the "activity." It would be one-step easier if this was possible on the same page as when you "close out" the activity. Can we duplicate that data input there as well as in the activity template?

You may now update the mileage and elevation gain when closing an activity in addition to the trip results, participant results and volunteer hours. We also improved the instructions on the roster page, so it shoudl be much clearer how to close an activity.

  9. The doors are closed to most of us.

Publish lists of truly open events where organizers are not micromanaging who can attend. The list will be incredibly short. Others have commented on this and per usual someone with 'official authority' to do so deleted their thoughts and suggestions. This is absurd, rude, and asinine. The arrogance demonstrated is remarkable. The issue stands. There are painfully few outings available (particularly for Basic Climbing Grads) to participate in. This does not feel like a club at all, but a set of tight cliques that are energetically guarded.

    Hi Douglas,

You are not alone in your frustration about the limited number of climbs for basic grads. In fact I’d encourage you to read this thread and comment on it which discusses this same issue so you can better understand the climb leader’s perspective as well

    http://feedback.mountaineers.org/forums/272594-leaders/suggestions/6939679-future-activity-sign-up-dates-modifying-registrat

I am closing this feedback item because we are trying to make sure their aren’t duplicates of the same item. The issue you brought up is incredibly important and was actually discussed recently by the managing committee.

The Managing Committee met on April 30, 2015 and decided to take no action on the issue right now. Central issues that contribute to these frustrations that they identified were a shortage of leaders and the various legitimate needs for pre-filling a roster that should not be disrupted. However, they decided that working on increasing the leader base and monitoring frustrations related to this issue…

Most of our members are out playing on the weekends and we are not in a great retail location so Saturdays historically has not been a good fit. Please do review our extended hours on the bookstore page, mountaineers.org/bookstore. Thanks!

  12. Change Color for links that those with higher permissions can see

Can the colors on "hidden" menu options be changed? The red text on blue background is almost impossible to read.

On calendar views, we have white text on colored backgrounds with the background color denoting the state.

  13. When viewing someones profile make the "My Activities etc" show up differently than one's personal profile GH901

When browsing another members page, many of the headers appear as if I'm viewing my own page (My Activities, My Profile, My Courses). It's a bit confusing at first whether those will continue navigating another users page, or will take me to my own.

When viewing someone else’s profile we now have changes to help make it clearer whose profile you are looking at. When you are looking at someone else’s profile it no longer says My Activities or My Courses it simply says Courses and Activities and the person’s name is inserted above so it is clear that it isn’t your profile you are looking through.

  16. FREE INSTRUCTOR DESK COPIES GH1247

When a volunteer instructor sets up a course, offer them a free text PDF of any Mountaineers Books (MB) title. Also offer them the option of specifying a non-MB text for their course that MB will purchase and fulfill. The instructor would communicate the later text via an email (linked).

  19. Add Email Alerts & Notifications Preferences to My Profile SD508/599/600/601

This could be allowing people to request an email notification for an activity or course when it becomes available. It could include notifications to committee chairs when leaders list activities sponsored by that committee. Please describe below what you'd specifically like to see as far as email notifications go that would help you sign up for the activities you want or help you manage your committee etc.

April Leader Survey showed interest in:

    1. Ability to receive a calendar reminder when registration is opening for an activity

    2. Ability to receive a reminder notification about your trip this weekend
