Put Instructor Opportunities in with Find Activities SD360
For those of us not required to volunteer for a class, we were more apt to sign up as instructors or for classes when the listings were mixed with activities. We search by date, not necessarily opportunity type.

Need more options to establish new routes-places without time lag
Many of our leaders want to wait for snow reports or weather forecasts a week or so before an activity before they post the activity, but the current process for centralized review and posting creates a time lag that makes this virtually impossible. Can you train and empower a small group of route-place administrators out in the branches to increase the ability to process these submissions more quickly? Considering the wide range in quality of the 'reviewed' routes-places showing up now, I think that you could set up a group of trained and accountable volunteers who would do at least…
2 votesWe have caught up on our summer backlog and are now turning routes and places requests around in under 48 hours. Leaders are also doing a better job of submitting content-rich routes and places. We’ve made improvements to the process, and more are on the way.

Download Roster: Have option to download only those selected GH1132
Right now the download roster brings everyone on the list, it would be cool to be able to select a portion of the roster and download this portion for management for all rosters (committee, course and activity). - Suggestion from Focus Groups

Make Phone number required on the Join page. This is key for leaders to be able to get in touch with their participants.

Make field trip/lecture instructors push to course rosters SD381
Right now we have a lot of instructors who are just added or sign up to a single field trip roster. Unfortunately because they aren't added to the course roster they aren't available for recruiting via our mega course template roster for future field trips/lectures that particular year or in future years.
Also having the course show up in your My Courses & Programs is helpful for instructors who want a quick link to upcoming field trips for them to volunteer for. This is particularly important for the many day courses like basic, scrambling, sea kayaking etc.

Uncheck all email opt-ins when the email opt-out box is checked in Salesforce.
Add a process in Salesforce that unchecks all email opt-ins on a member's profile if the email opt-out box is ever checked in Salesforce.

Fix Required Input Needed error on roster GHtbd
When you are trying to add someone to the roster it often spits back a "Required Input Needed" error even when you have entered someone's name or email correctly. Fortunately you can just hit Save and override error message but its confusing for new leaders.

As best I can tell this was fixed with the Plone 5 update that was live on May 5, 2020. Please let us know if it’s still an issue.

Reference: BAKER’S DOZEN Offered by the Bellingham Branch, asks that you climb no more than 5 peaks per year to achieve this, but since I will be just short of 65 next year when I attempt it, I was wondering if an exception might be made for seniors, since we may not live long enough for multi-year attempts.1 voteHi Charlee, Where do you see the info re: 5 peaks a year? Improve (Prevent) Header Switching When Viewing Content SD632
As a site visitor keep the universal header selection and global (section or subsite?) header (The Mountaineers or Mountaineers Books) displayed until I choose to switch so that I do not have a jarring navigation experience while I am browsing the site.

Improve Activity Edit Form (sea kayak fields plus pace)
We re-ordered fields to make more sense when listing the activity. Improved and added help text to some of the fields.
We added three fields for kayakers, maximum wind, maximum waves and maximum current. We also added a free form field for pace of the activity.

For activities, change the checkbox text shown to youth under 18 to: "I have verified that a Qualified Youth Leader will be present for this activity. Functionality for youth in family memberships who age out GH2747/2773
When a youth who is a Mountaineers member turns 18, they should receive a "happy birthday" email (with the primary account holder copied) saying:
"Happy birthday! We're so grateful that you and your family have given The Mountaineers a chance to play a role in your formative years. We hope you feel like you're part of the family. We know that your late teens and early 20's are busy years. Previously you could add a gray line to break up your text in blogs and other text heavy fields. Ever since we launched the new text editor that <hr> HTML tag has disappeared - bring it back!
