General Feedback

This forum is for you to share ideas and exchange feedback with Mountaineers members, guests, volunteers, and leadership. You may vote for or comment on any forum idea and will be notified of status changes to that idea. Your feedback helps us prioritize projects and improvements for our organization. We receive lots of great ideas, so please search the forum first before adding a new one. If your idea is not yet in our forum, please post it with a simple title and an explanation of your idea and how it benefits The Mountaineers. If you want to learn more about what has already been developed and what is up next, please visit our Technology Blog. Thank you for your participation!

Please note that all our courses, events, trips and course-related activities have feedback forms so that you give feedback for every activity in which you participate. You’ll get an email reminder to do so just after the activity. If your feedback is of urgent nature it may be best to contact the chair of the committee that sponsors that program directly. Not sure who the chair is? Contact our Member Services Team at info@mountaineers.org.

If there was a safety incident or near miss, you will have the opportunity for submitting an Incident Report after submitting activity feedback. You may also use the Incident Report button on the activity detail page (from your My Activities page) or contact our Safety Committee directly at safety@mountaineers.org.

    Activities can be scheduled for a route/place that has not been published, but only the author and staff can see it. All others will get an error. The more complete the content, the quicker we can review and publish. If you have an immediate need, please feel free to call our Member Services Team.

  2. Reduce number of clicks to access specific class rosters SD360

    Reduce number of clicks to access specific class roster- maybe allow users to "favorite" the classes they need to access often (esp for committee members who are not registered for the course in question). - Suggestion from Adam from Focus groups

    We have improved our new site wide search. Please check out the new search filters and let us know if there is anything else that would be useful.

  3. Set up automated autorenewal email and reminder about lapsed membership

    Not currently automated, would be time saver to have more of these automated to ensure member renewal.

    Yes, emails are now being sent reminding members on the 15th of the month that their card will be charged and emails going when card is charged and if their card payment fails

  5. "add new comment" box to the top of blog posts and trip reports.

    Previously you had to scroll all the way down through trip reports and blog comments to add a new one instead of having a button at the top

  6. Set image to show in blog post Summary view

    Blog posts will look snazzier if we have their image show on the home page.

  7. Show activities on Find activities that start today

    Multiple leaders requested being able to see activities happening through the date the activity is actually happening.

  8. Have default and regular capacity in Routes/places

    Our default capacity for all of our trips should be 12 or less but some places we go we need to have the flexibility to have larger groups. It would be nice to have the Routes/places have this flexibility.

  9. Set campaign field to empty when adding a new opportunity

    Helps with manual membership and donor accounting entries in salesforce.
