  1. Improve Route/Place Summary (aka Search Results) View GH3574

    Given that our Routes & Places have grown to support a wider set of options and variations, and that they support both land and marine activities, it would be better to display the entire summary and remove the detailed info at right column in the summary (aka search results) view of a route/place. See the attached mock-up.

  2. Trigger a notification for Senior Rate Eligibility when Members turn 65 ~Salesforce

    Many members appreciate the convenience of the auto renewal feature for membership dues but for members who begin their enrollment at the Adult rate and turn 65 before card expiry, this may result in several years of paying at a higher rate than necessary. Including a notification on their 65th birthday, similar to the one sent out when members turn 18, will allow these members to make a fully informed decision about their options.

  3. My Activities...More speed, please GH3433

    It is taking such a long time now to post and edit activities, load pages, etc. I spend a lot of time waiting after pushing "Save" and "Edit" buttons. Sometimes, the system times out. Other times, it's not clear if pushing the Save and Edit buttons even worked. It is 10-15 seconds here and there, but it adds up when one is doing a lot of editing, posting, roster clean up, etc. Thank you.

    We just made several changes aimed at improving website speed, particularly for loading the My Activities pages and searches like Find Activities.

    For the My Activities, the page header and current/future activities should now load immediately (worst case in a few seconds). “Loading” is displayed while the past activities are being compiled. How long it takes to display them depends on how many there are, but load times should be much faster now.

    To view your My Activities page, you might also need to refresh that page. With all the improvements, it’s probably also a good idea to clear your browser’s cache and then reload your My Activities page.

  4. Limit adding more than 1 duplicate profile and limiting duplicates overall GH3636

    Member services has seen a significant increase in the overall number of duplicates in the past 6-12 months. This has meant there have been a significant increase in login troubles for members, an increase in login-related inquiries. Member services has also been unable to keep up with the constantly growing number of duplicate accounts. Since December 2020, we have seen approximately 3000 duplicate pairs emerge - that's approximately 1000 pairs or 500 duplicated accounts per month.

    We believe there are a few things that could be done to reduce the number of duplicates overall.

    Completed Mar 2022. We added the same duplicate warning for anyone who is checking out as a guest or donating as a guest that we have for joining. If there are items in the person's shopping cart or if they have made selection on the donation form, those selections will be transferred if they log  into their account.

  5. Clarify language for profile management when adding family member GH3554

    We've received a number of calls lately from folks who have a family membership. They go to add an adult family member, but get stuck when they are required to select whether 'I will manage the account for the youth' or 'the youth will manage their own profile, but I will sign their waiver and manage their account.' It is confusing that they have to choose one of these options when they are not adding a youth family member to their account.

    I think changing the language to something like these two options would suffice to reduce confusion:

  6. Magnuson South Wall Climbing Reservations

    This page has confused me a few times. The Seattle Park Department does not manage reservations. It would be nice to have updated information about the south wall here.

  7. Make it more clear that a member is under the age of 18

    I can't guarantee that any of my volunteer instructors are "youth qualified" so it should be more clear on a member's profile that they are under the age of 18.

  8. Searchable committee minutes

    We hold meetings, take minutes, and archive them. The ability to search past minutes will be very useful. In fact, I think that searching for when the committee discussed some topic - and what was decided - will be the most common way that I reference our meeting minutes.

  9. Filters at top of site search results do not work as expected GH3660

    Enter text in site search bar in the header and hit enter. Results are shown with four buttons at top (Find Books, Find Events, Find Courses, Find Activities). Hit "Find Books" and the results are refreshed and show me things not related to what I searched for (not sticky to the search term I entered). Expected result is the search term result list is filtered to just books. See screenshots.

  10. Add MountainQueers to Search

    Add MountainQueers as affinity group to green search bar, similar to how we have "Singles", "Families", etc. If possible make this an easier area to update for the future as we look to expand our affinity groups.

  11. Assign the Stewardship Credit Badge Based on Stewardship Activity Volunteer Hours

    Once participants can more easily be assigned volunteer hours for participating in a stewardship activity (see Allow Participants to be Bulk Assigned Volunteer Hours, http://feedback.mountaineers.org/forums/273688-general-feedback/suggestions/41829865-allow-participants-to-be-bulk-assigned-volunteer-h), assign (or remove) the Stewardship Credit badge based on having 8 or more stewardship volunteer hours in the last 365 days (removing this badge if a person has it and their stewardship volunteer hours are less than 8 in the last 365 days).

  12. Allow Participants to be Bulk Assigned Volunteer Hours GH3364

    Our requirement for the Stewardship Credit badge is 8 hours of stewardship-related work which can be obtained many ways. We have many stewardship activities, but some of them only require 2-4 hours of work. To make this easier to track, we'd like to be able to bulk assign volunteer hours to participants in these cases

  13. Expired Youth Forms Notification

    Youth forms expire every year. It would be super beneficial if there could be an email notification to families when the form(s) expire. Currently I have to go into every child's profile, check to see if their forms are current or expired, and then email each family that has a child with expired forms. This takes up a significant amount of time that I could be using to improve the curriculum and trips for our youth.   17. Activity Feedback Chart Color Scheme

    Feedback Color Coding. The colors used for a Great Trip (RED) to Terrible Trip (Green) seem backwards to me, and should be in reverse order to the way they are now. Red usually means there's something wrong and green usually means everything's great Go.

    Hello Don -

    Thank you for submitting your idea and bringing this to our attention! The colors are assigned in the order of the response options. For example, response option #1 was set to red, option #2 set to yellow, etc. However, I agree that for our survey responses that are yes/no or some sort of grade typically start with the positive choice. That said, we have changed the colors associated to the response options to make it match our branding and seem less like a color grading scale.

  18. First Nation Land Acknowledgment

    I recommend placing a First Nation Land Acknowledgment statement on the bottom of The Mountaineers webpages. As an organization, we should recognize the ancestors and current stewards of the lands we live, work, and recreate on.   19. Make Date/Time Calendar widget a consistent format GH3662

    Across the site I have discovered that the date/time calendar widget is not in the same format (some have Saturday/Sunday at the beginning/end of the week; others have Sat/Sun at the end of the week). In general this is fine, but when you're adding LOTS of activities for entire program year it's significantly more time consuming because you have to pay closer attention to which day you are clicking. And, there's a higher likelihood of choosing the wrong date because visually it is in a different location on each calendar widget. It would be preferred if all calendar widgets had…

  20. Add Filters, Instructor Opt In/Out, and Badges to Committee Rosters

    (1) Add filters to top of the page--admins, committee members, position, leaders, instructors, badges and lookup by name.

    (2) Add an instructor opt in/out checkbox (see http://feedback.mountaineers.org/forums/273688-general-feedback/suggestions/34126369-volunteer-instructor-recruitment-request-opt-in).

    (3) Add four badge columns to the download so you can see course badges, skill badges, leader badges and instructor badges. And maybe a fifth column that shows all other badges.
