This forum is for you to share ideas and exchange feedback with Mountaineers members, guests, volunteers, and leadership. You may vote for or comment on any forum idea and will be notified of status changes to that idea. Your feedback helps us prioritize projects and improvements for our organization. We receive lots of great ideas, so please search the forum first before adding a new one. If your idea is not yet in our forum, please post it with a simple title and an explanation of your idea and how it benefits The Mountaineers. Please note that all our courses, events, trips, course-related activities, clinics, seminars, and lodge stays have feedback forms so that you give feedback for everything in which you participate. You’ll get an email reminder to do so just after the activity. If your feedback is of urgent nature it may be best to contact the chair of the committee that sponsors that program directly. If there was a safety incident or near miss, you will have the opportunity for submitting an Incident Report after submitting activity feedback.   1. Note major jewish, christian and muslim holidays on online calendar to promote inclusivity and avoid double booking

    It'd be great if the online reservation calendar noted major holidays like rosh hashanah, yom kippur, Eid Al-Fitr, easter etc so that volunteers are less likely to schedule activities on courses on those evenings. This would go a long way towards building an inclusive culture at The Mountaineers.

  2. Search and filter hikes by vertical gain, mileage, and distance using range sliders

    Search and filter hikes by vertical gain, mileage, and distance using range sliders, similar to WTA's interface.

    ...and allow for further filtering of results by geo using map zoom functionality, similar to that of Zillow NOTE: We already have map view, see the comments.

  3. An optional listing of activities by sign-up closing date would be useful.

    Greetings, I am looking at the webpage listing of backpacking trips
    https://www.mountaineers.org/explore/activities#c4=Backpacking&_authenticator=85ed85bf9f9b5b690f54ae2e41091ad49b0b5563
    and there are trips that commence several weeks from now that have sign-ups closing this week. I suspect that these trips will be undersubscribed because people don't scroll down far enough. If the trips could optionally be listed by sign-up closure, that would help these trips to get more attention. Thank you!

  4. Integrate Salesforce with Acumatica

    The current process involves manual assignment of revenue codes for memberships, courses, etc., a time-consuming task that is subject to inconsistent interpretation and error. Integration would automate this process, reducing time spent entering data and improve the accuracy of our data. We'd also like to sync (or be able use an export-import process) to transfer data from SF to Acumatica.

  6. Update Billing Info for Automatic Renewal GH1977

    The billing info associated with autorenewal payments is not getting updated in tandem with the user’s profile. Let's tweak the process to update the autorenewal billing info whenever the profile is updated, or at least give users the option to also update their billing info when they update their payment card info.

  7. HAVE STRIPE SPLIT PAYMENTS/DEPOSITS SD350

    Have Stripe split a credit card payment and distribute PC funds to its bank account while, at the same time, channeling payment for a book to the Books bank account.

  8. Stop showing activities that occur TODAY in the "My Activities History" section

    Right now, any event I am leading today shows up as the first thing in the "My Activities History" section on my profile. However, this is (and always has been) very annoying, because I have to scroll down to find it. Due to recent (and welcome) website optimizations, the history section loads more slowly, so I have to wait for it to load before I can open the activity I'm leading that day in order to print the roster.

  9. Show elevation gain and distance on search page for activities

    Might not be applicable for all activity types, but it would be really helpful to see some basic stats for hiking, backpacking, and scrambling without needing to click on each activity. "Difficulty" isn't consistent enough. Technical for scrambling would also be nice. It would also be very helpful to allow filtering by distance/elevation

  10. Phone support for Elder members who do not use the internet

    I often hear this feedback but I don't think I've done a great job documenting it, so here goes.
    Today I spoke with 50 year member Diana Edgar and I thanked her and let her know her of recent lifetime membership.

  11. Assign the Stewardship Credit Badge Based on Stewardship Activity Volunteer Hours

    Once participants can more easily be assigned volunteer hours for participating in a stewardship activity (see Allow Participants to be Bulk Assigned Volunteer Hours, http://feedback.mountaineers.org/forums/273688-general-feedback/suggestions/41829865-allow-participants-to-be-bulk-assigned-volunteer-h), assign (or remove) the Stewardship Credit badge based on having 8 or more stewardship volunteer hours in the last 365 days (removing this badge if a person has it and their stewardship volunteer hours are less than 8 in the last 365 days).

  12. Expired Youth Forms Notification

    Youth forms expire every year. It would be super beneficial if there could be an email notification to families when the form(s) expire. Currently I have to go into every child's profile, check to see if their forms are current or expired, and then email each family that has a child with expired forms. This takes up a significant amount of time that I could be using to improve the curriculum and trips for our youth. Expired forms make it so the families can't sign up for trips; through observation, the families already have a hard enough time figuring out…

  13. Activity Feedback Chart Color Scheme

    Feedback Color Coding. The colors used for a Great Trip (RED) to Terrible Trip (Green) seem backwards to me, and should be in reverse order to the way they are now. Red usually means there's something wrong and green usually means everything's great Go.

  14. Add Merchandise Style, Color, and Size to Purchase Receipt

    Add the style, color, and size of a merchandise item on the purchase receipt so that the customer may verify they purchase the correct item, especially when they purchase more than one of a set of similar items.

  15. Allow "Requested Info" field to be either required or optional during participant registration

    Add the option to either the "Requested Info" is required or optional when a participant register an activity, clinic or seminar. Currently this field is optional and participant can still register if this field is not filled up.
    This option should be applied where ever the "Requested Info" is available when the item is created or edited.

    Participant Note Types:

    Enhance participant notes capability so that users with the ability to add participant notes may select from a range of pre-determined “note types” (still to be determined, but could include “positive comment, future leader potential, conditioning issue, behavior issue, other comment”) when entering participant notes in addition to entering free text notes. Note types as well as free text become a part of a member’s profile.
