Save Credit Card Info for Purchases SD328
Allow members and guests to save credit card info when checking out and use saved credit card info to pay when checking out. We should allow multiple cards, choice of which one to use when checking out, ability to update (usually expiration date and CCV), remove, or add from the Shopping Cart. Allow the user to update, remove and add credit card info from their My Profile area too. We need to consider the implications to the recurring payments (automatic annual dues and monthly donations) too.
2 votesThis idea is partially complete, allowing members to save one preferred card through the Plone update. The idea of saving multiple cards is not a priority item that the team would like to pursue at this time, so we are completing this ticket.

Senior Membership Notification Email
Members Services receives a lot of inquiries from members about wanting to switch their membership from family or adult to senior, mid-membership cycle. They reach out in response to an email that we send, alerting them (on their birthday) to enroll in our senior membership now that they are 65. Since they pay upfront for the year, it doesn't make sense to retroactively refund each person that turns 65 mid-membership cycle. And if they enroll in the senior membership, they would be paying two separate membership costs for the year. Could we prompt the "senior membership invite" email via their…
1 voteCompleted Sep 2023. We updated the text of the email we send to clarify when the Senior membership may be chosen.

Trigger a notification for Senior Rate Eligibility when Members turn 65 ~Salesforce
Many members appreciate the convenience of the auto renewal feature for membership dues but for members who begin their enrollment at the Adult rate and turn 65 before card expiry, this may result in several years of paying at a higher rate than necessary. Including a notification on their 65th birthday, similar to the one sent out when members turn 18, will allow these members to make a fully informed decision about their options.

Password Change/Reset GH3322
I was trying to change my password and couldn't figure out how despite looking at profile settings and searching for 'change password' on the site. In the end, I emailed info@mountaineers and found out that you have to use the forgotten password flow to do so.
It seems like most sites have a 'change password' feature in the 'profile' section. It would be great to have a way to do so on the site. Alternatively, publishing a page about that might be helpful if people do search for it.1 voteCompleted Jan 2020.

Trip report input improvements
On the trip report page, allow for multiple photo uploads, have the "upload" tab come up by default when clicking to add a photo, keyboard shortcut to add a photo, and tell people upfront to save often, that they can edit after saving (I lost a ton of work).
1 voteCompleted May 5, 2020.
This is the date we launched the Plone 5 Update which came with the ability to upload multiple files or images at one time.
We also added this to the help text for Trip Report rich text fields: “You can edit your trip report after saving it, so save your work early and often, especially if you’re writing a lengthy trip report.”

Exception for seniors.
Exception for seniors.
Reference: BAKER’S DOZEN Offered by the Bellingham Branch, asks that you climb no more than 5 peaks per year to achieve this, but since I will be just short of 65 next year when I attempt it, I was wondering if an exception might be made for seniors, since we may not live long enough for multi-year attempts.1 voteHi Charlee, Where do you see the info re: 5 peaks a year? If so we should update it because that doesn’t sound quite right and should be modified. This is where I normally find information about the peak pin requirements. Here is the link directly to Bellingham branch bakers dozen https://www.mountaineers.org/membership/badges/award-badges/bellingham-branch/bellingham-branch-bakers-dozen

Functionality for youth in family memberships who age out GH2747/2773
When a youth who is a Mountaineers member turns 18, they should receive a "happy birthday" email (with the primary account holder copied) saying:
"Happy birthday! We're so grateful that you and your family have given The Mountaineers a chance to play a role in your formative years. We hope you feel like you're part of the family. We know that your late teens and early 20's are busy years. We hope you can still stay involved, but even if life takes you on new adventures, we want you to know that we still consider you part of our family,…1 voteJun 2018

Add Financial Assistance Link on Course/Activity Layout GH2749
Should say "Apply for Financial Assistance"
We'd also like to move the Cancellation and Refund link below Availability so we have text that breaks up the two links.https://www.mountaineers.org/membership/financial-assistance

SEO Improvements 2017-18 GHP1 SD587
We engaged Portent, Inc. to review our website from an SEO (Search Engine Optimization, e.g. Google) perspective. They gave us a set of recommendations that involve both technical and content improvements to our website. Overall, this is likely a large project, but will likely be many very small projects that we can accomplish with our monthly support over time.
1 voteWe completed all of the high priority items form our SEO review in 2017. We expect some of the remaining items may be on our next SEO review which is TDB.

Transportation and membership
My idea would be be able to full enjoy the Mountaineers without a car. It seems very difficult to do so, hikes in particular. Make it easier to delete our account and membership if needed. Great customer service.

With window reduced, 'Learn' is not visible
When you reduce the size of your window the LEARN menu and the left quarter of the screen disappears. Scroll bar appears fully left but missing key navigation features on the site.
1 voteWe launched the website mobile responsive theme on Oct 4 and this was fixed as part of that effort.

it would be wonderful to easily order maps online
order USGS/Green Trails maps online
1 voteWe are now the sole distributor for Green Trails maps and sell them on our website: https://www.mountaineers.org/books/books#b_start=0&c11=Green+Trails+Maps.
We do sell other map titles. All maps can be found at https://www.mountaineers.org/books/books#b_start=0&c5=Map.
USGS map sales have declined to near zero in recent years, so there is little need to sell the on our website.

Reply to doesn't work on all email from mountaineers.org
Replying to emails written from leaders through mountaineers.org are not working for Windows 10 mail. Obviously Mountaineers can't control Windows but it might make sense to switch to participants being cc'd on organizing or the leader being cc'd so members don't send Member Services trip logistical emails.
1 voteThanks for providing feedback. Unfortunately we can’t fix Windows 10 mail but it does work for other mail programs. We also have an option for leaders to capture roster emails and easily copy and paste them into their email in the cc’ field if a leader does have Windows 10 or wants to help facilitate carpooling.

Printable Membership Card GH1834
We’ve had some feedback lately (well, always) from certain members who always want a membership card. Sending them individually is time consuming and expensive. How feasible would it be to design a page (something VERY simple) where people could print out their own membership cards?

Problem with "cancellation pending"
Cancellation pending can be a problem for leaders when they are trying to cancel people off and add people from the waitlist right before the course. The people in "cancellation pending" count towards the number of registered students, which means that their spots can't be offered to anyone else until Member Services reviews their status and issues the refund, etc. Member Services then changes the status to "cancelled" which then frees up that spot for someone else. But the problem is that this lag in between "cancelled" and "cancellation pending" can sometimes take days and prevents leaders from being able…
1 voteI am sorry to hear you’ve experienced a lag time on cancellations. Unfortunately we need the cancellation pending status to process refunds. Member Services does cancellations every business day so if you are seeing a lag time of more than one business day on a course roster that is time sensitive please email info@mountaineers.org or give us a ring at 206-521-6001 so we can update immediately. Additionally if the course is shortly approaching you are welcome to email those on the waitlist to let them know they are in, send them course materials and alert them they will be offered a spot shortly.
In addition to our daily cancellation pending notifications we also recently implemented a weekly cancellation pending report to help ensure that these are processed in a timely manner.

Install Step-Up Engagemant App SD416
StepUp is Percolator Consulting's engagement app for Salesforce, our CRM (Customer Relationship Management database).
It adds functionality to our Salesforce to create the ability to measure the engagement levels of our guests, members, and volunteers. This Percolator-designed Salesforce App allows you to assign an engagement score related to actions taken with our organization, and then roll all of those scores up into one master "engagement score". We can use this to identify potential donors, volunteers, and to single out guests who might be the most interested in converting to a member.
1 voteWe installed and configured the StepUp app for Salesforce in Apr 2019.
