Add a diversity policy for clubwide staff hiring. Staff hired under the new ED is pretty uniform in gender and race.
I've been on staff for more than a decade now. Our staff is a constantly changing mix of people. We do seek to hire the best we can for an open ore new position and do follow our anti-discrimination policy:
"The Mountaineers is committed to an anti-discrimination policy in its programs and services. The Mountaineers does not discriminate based on race, religion (creed), color, ethnicity, national origin (ancestry), religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, disability, veteran status, military obligations, immigration status and marital status."
All of our policies are at: http://www.mountaineers.org/source/communities/DocumentArchive.cfm?section=unknown&ParID=2&CmtyId=2&FolderId=2

Seems like to be Mountaineers staff you need to be generally from back east, female and nonprofit in background. Where's the people with ties to the area and culture ... regardless of gender or business?
